Editor’s Report
The first edition of the
Tennessee Counseling Association Journal was published in November 2007.In March 2008, the journal received Best Journal (Small Chapter) from the American Counseling
Association.
The second edition of TCAJ has been published and will be distributed to members within the 2008
conference packets.
The editors are currently accepting manuscripts for the 2009 edition. A call for manuscripts will
be published on various listservs including TCA’s listserv.
During the summer LDC, a call went out to the division presidents to nominate one member from
each division to serve on the editorial board. The editors received one nomination from one division
and would like to continue to receive nominations from representatives from the different divisions.
Goals for the year:
The editors will be reviewing the publication process and budget to determine if and wheresavings can be made.
The editors will be developing a policies and procedures manual for the journal. Thesepolicies will document the procedures followed to accept manuscripts and publish editions.
