The 2008-2009 officers of Martha Polk Chapter met to discuss plans for the upcoming year. We brain stormed about sponsorships for the TCA Conference and spoke to William Matthew via speaker phone. We set the dates for our 4 meetings held at UT-Martin, Jackson State Community College, Lambuth University, and Union University.

Kick off dinner meeting for the Martha Polk Chapter -- held at UT-Martin. Dr. Linda Blanding spoke about Stress and we ran a business meeting. My personal meeting agenda has been attached if more information is needed. The next meeting was announced for Monday evening , Nov. 3 at Jackson State Community College.

Our second meeting was held at Jackson State Community College. Our speaker was Sherri Stanfield, Director of the Carl Perkins Center for the Prevention of Child Abuse, Jackson-Madison County. Cindy Eason (Scotts Hills) was named our new Scholarhip Chair. By the February meeting, we will have appointed a Scholarship committee to work with Cindy. We are also taking nominations for an Awards Chair and the Nominating Committee for next year's officers. Mary Brignole and Candace Armstrong were our guests from Memphis; they promoted the TCA Conference and Nita Jones promoted Pre-Conference meetings. The next meeting was announced for Monday lunchtime, February 23 at Lambuth University.
