Friends,
Having just
returned from
the national
AMHCA
conference, I
have a
heightened
interest in
pursuing certain
actions as soon
as possible.
The action for
which I am
asking your help
is the immediate
development/enhancement
of TMHCA's
website.
First, Jeffrey
should be
acknowledged as
establishing a
website for
TMHCA. His
efforts have
been
significant.
Jeffrey, thank
you.
Second, imagine
that you
represent TMHCA
at the awards
luncheon and
that as you
approach the
stage to receive
an honor for
TMHCA, the
organization
that is given
credit for the
award is not
TMHCA. The fact
is that, while
TMHCA was
honored at the
awards luncheon,
the large screen
projected the
logo and name of
another
Tennessee
organization as
the recipient of
the award.
To be clear, we
have the award.
The wrong
organization was
named on the big
screen, though,
because the
awards committee
located the
Tennessee
organization
through an
internet search.
Unfortunately,
the committee
found an
organization
that is not
TMHCA.
Third,
repeatedly,
individuals ask
me how to locate
TMHCA. At this
time, we have a
weak answer.
Four,
repeatedly,
individuals tell
me that they
cannot locate
TMHCA.
Five, we have a
lot of good
information
about which our
members and
others should
know. The
information
includes
professional
development
events, contact
information for
TCA and TMHCA
leaders,
resources that
are available
through AMHCA,
critically
important
information
about changes in
licensing rules,
and much, much
more.
Six, at this
time, TMHCA has
positive
momentum. A
website is
important to the
efforts that may
keep the
momentum going.
Well, lest this
appear to be an
enduring and
pointless
lament, here is
the question:
WHO IS
AVAILABLE TO
CONTINUE THE
DEVELOPMENT OF A
WEBSITE FOR
TMHCA?
Thanks for your
thoughts,
support, and
obvious
commitments to
our profession.
See you soon.
Francis
