Kaci Allen, Social Media Chair
The mission of the Association for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Issues in Counseling of Tennessee (ALGBTIC-TN) is to enhance the skills and knowledge of counselors through professional development to help LGBT clients in school and mental health settings and educate society about LGBT issues so that society can become more accepting and treat LGBT people as humans.
The purpose of ALGBTIC-TN is three-fold: to promote the counseling profession and maintain members that accept and respect LGBT youth and adult clients and to educate current and new counselors about the current issues of LGBT youth and adults so that they can advocate for and counsel them effectively.
