Spring Report for TCA Governing Council from MTCA - Barbara Harper, President  

Goal 1:  Continue to increase membership of MTCA.

Our February meeting will be on Tuesday, February 12, 2008 at 3:00 p.m. immediately on-site following the Counseling Institute that will be held at the Cool Springs Marriott, Franklin, TN.  We have worked in conjuncion with Nicole Cobb to accomplish this task.  An advertisement will be placed in the program booklet regarding our meeting and inviting others to stop by and meet and greet.  A membership table will be set up for the purpose of signing up new members and encouraging former/retired members to renew their membership.

Goal #2:  Outreach to retired members who are inactive.

Personal phone calls are being made to encourage retired members to rejoin and attend our meetings for the purpose of mentoring new counselors, sharing their knowledge and participating in panel discussions at future meetings.  Gwen Oatis-Neal and Barbara Harper  are working on a Welcome Back Reception for this target group.
